EarFun UBOOM® X - Black

As an audiophile enthusiast, I had the opportunity to compare the EarFun UBOOM X with the Tribit Stormbox Blast and the Soundcore Boom 2 Plus. From the initial listening session, it was evident that the UBOOM X delivered the deepest bass among the three. This observation was confirmed through measurements using the U-MIK1 microphone and Audio Tools software, which showed that the UBOOM X effortlessly reproduced frequencies as low as 40Hz.

In terms of build quality, the Tribit Stormbox Blast had a less robust chassis and utilized lower-quality plastics compared to the other two speakers. Additionally, my unit of the Stormbox Blast had a defect: the right passive radiator emitted a rattling noise during playback.

The EarFun app provided a user-friendly interface for customizing the equalization settings to my preferences, resulting in a tuning that I found highly satisfying. While I appreciated the preset tunings offered by Oluv, they didn't align perfectly with my personal taste.

I knew what to expect from Uboom X after watching all the videos and especially the process of setting up the different EQs from Oluv. Nevertheless this speaker still succeeded in surprising me how powerful and clean sound it has listening to it in person. And at the early bird promotional price this is absolute no brainer to purchase. Recommend it with both hands.
